unfortunately the server was capped at 32 for some reason so we had a full server and then 10-15 or so more in the other server.

Yes, admins part. Not gamops. We need to get onto the proper admins (GA staff) to change a lot of stuff that us gameops have access to because of XR.
I can get you a server next time run on MBPV however it won't show up in the serverlist (we don't know why).

Can somebody please fix server bookings, none of the settings I selected in the server booking actually worked and the server constantly dropped out. Pretty poor on the admins part really.

I have no idea why but this game has pretty much died, time for a PUG to get a half decent game in.

Newerth.com has released details of the new patch for Savage: XR.

* A brand NEW interface in the editor for creating Triggers.
    A wiki section has been written to instruct Map Makers on how the Triggers work: Wiki Guide.


* A Demo Map called "xr_triggers" that demonstrates what Triggers can do:
    - The objective is to build gars/subs on both hills north of the map.
    - The command centres cannot be damaged, and restone mines are unlimited.

    To make things more interesting there is:
    - A central hill with bushes that contain "surprises". (get on this hill with the jumppad or teleporter).
    - A platform between the north hills, with and "ejector" on each side (and also a "surprise" in the bush)
    - A redstone mine south of the map, standing on an "icerink".

    To play this map, go on the XR Public Server and type /callvote world xr_triggers in the chat box.


* Samurai Wars:
    - Balance fixes (the musket & naginata have been adjusted).
    - Heal Shrine Model has been improved.

* 3D Models
    - Updated Mortar tower model

* Bug Fixes:
    - Fixed the Scattergun (and others) beam effect.
    - Fixed the anti-exploit garrison code (there were problems on some maps).
    - Fixed Voice blips on MiniMap.
    - Fixed problem with Squads assignments.
    - Plus dozens of smaller bug fixes.

I hope this solves some issues that people have had throughout the initial release of XR and motivate map makers to make something unique.

xx Savage: XR Released!

Savage: XR is officially released for public beta testing!

For a full list of new features and improvements visit the official website.

Savage: XR Public Beta has finally arrived! The release includes a Windows and Linux game client. Servers will be released after some stress and bug testing. This means there will not be very many XR servers online for the initial public release. We recommend you keep a SFE client installed as playing XR on n SFE server will cause issues with collisions on certain objects.

GameArena #1 will be updated to XR as soon as possible and have the player limit increased if the server can handle it. GameArena #3 will follow soon after and #2 will be updated after the dedicated servers are officially released.

Now that the XR development team has finally got XR out into the public they need your help to spread the word about Savage to expand the community!

xx XR Release Date!

Newerth.com is pleased to announce the release of the Savage 1 XR Public Beta. Everyone will be able to play with Savage XR on 13th of February, 2009. The Beta will allow you to download the XR Client Installer for both Windows and Linux with all it's new features.

After the beta period is over, using the automatic update system, the Beta client Installer will be updated and release as XR Version 1.0 after which we plan to release the server package.

Its been a long time in the making and all the staff at Newerth.com hope you will enjoy the new additions to Savage: The Battle For Newerth and to give you a feel for the game, we have created a feature length trailer which you can view by clicking the image or links below.


We will create another news post on the 13th with all the information you need to play the beta and what exciting new features we will be working on for the release of XR Version 2.0.
